Most people talk about all the things they want to change in the New Year.

I want to talk about all the things worth keeping the same.

Shall we?

Change is good, but what are you keeping?

While I want to do a few things differently in 2024, there's also lot I practiced in 2023 that I'll keep the same.

This past year, I learned what self acceptance means. And with that, I've had enormous (often forced) moments of practice doing things that have proved beneficial to me.

Among them are the following (feel free to steal what speaks to you):

  • Putting boundaries around my time and who I work with so that I can maximize my effort.
  • Being hypervigilant of the people, activities, and environments in which the best version of myself shows up.
  • Investing in a professional to talk with who is not invested in me and can see things objectively.
  • Taking pictures of wildly beautiful things in and around the cities I visit and sharing them with the world.
  • Acceptance around wanting new and different challenges, even if they don't make sense on the surface.
  • Trusting divine surprises even when I don't understand them at first.
  • Speaking to myself with huge gulps of compassion (which has proved surprisingly more effective than the intense criticism I normally practice).

How about you? Hit reply and share one thing you're keeping in 2024.

Seriously. I'm listening.

📈 Behind the Business: Don't look back, don't look forward, look inside

Most of you know this about me, but I think personal and business growth go hand in hand. I believe work and life are much more integrated than people are willing to admit.

I've also found that investment in myself personally is investment in myself professionally, so I keep that in mind whenever I'm begrudging taking time for reflection and (mistakenly) thinking it's "not productive."

So today I'm sitting in a coffee shop journaling through 25 reflection questions; sharing with you below.

If you do the first 3 alone, you'll feel a shift inside.

Highly recommended.

Finally,

I hope you do something that makes zero fucking sense this year.
I hope you operate out of pure love.
I hope you trust everything.

Happy new year.

Love this ❤️❤️❤️
Dig it 👍👍
Do better 😕
